Ministry Trips
We enjoy having short-term helpers come to experience the ministry in Siberia firsthand.
These are usually 9-11 day trips focusing on COnstruction, Evangelism, Healthcare, or
Prayer ministries.
Depending on the type of trip, the schedule will vary, but usually 11 days are required.
Typically trips depart the US on Thursday and follow a schedule like this:
- Day 1: Depart USA and travel to Moscow.
- Day 2: Arrive in Moscow around 2:00 p.m. This is a jet-lag day, a day of rest.
- Day 3: Red Square, Kremlin, sightsee all day, (this is a good time for souvenir shopping) take the 10:00 p.m. flight to Ulan Ude.
- Day 4: Arrive around 8:00 a.m., attend church service, and plan ministry.
- Day 5-8: Full days of ministry
- Day 9: Debriefing session and fish dinner at Lake Baikal. This is one of the world's greatest wonders! Lake Baikal is the largest and cleanest fresh water lakes in the world.
- Day 10: Morning flight from Ulan Ude to Moscow (here is another opportunity for more souvenir shopping.)
- Day 11: From Moscow depart to USA
More rigorous schedules are possible, however travel in Siberia can be physically trying
and time for rest is essential so that the ministry opportunities will find you at your best.
Evangelism Teams
Seeds of the Gospel have been planted by national evangelistic
teams and teams from the states, evangelistic crusades, tent meetings,
video evangelism, home meetings, gospel tracks, evangelist newspapers,
printed literature, radio, television, and more.
You can be a part of these outreaches to bring the Gospel to Siberia.
Healthcare Teams
Touching the poor and suffering with the compassion of Jesus
Christ and inviting them to become His followers is part of the message that
is conveyed by healthcare ministry teams.
The medical needs in Siberia are overwhelming and even simple medical care has great impact.
Contact us if you are a healthcare professional and want to use your skills to touch the
hearts of the needy people in Siberia.
Construction Teams
Less than 10% of Russian congregations have their own church buildings.
Almost weekly, we hear of another congregation that has lost it's place of
worship due to the political, religious, or spiritual climate.
At times the congregations are being expelled from the rented halls with little or no notice.
Some congregations are forced to meet in a park under the open skies in the
dead of winter, enduring the numbing cold.
Projects are underway for building church buildings or remodel existing buildings.
We participate with local believers, pastors and the national church in this effort.
God is laying it on the hearts of the people to move out of the rented halls and
into the property that God has provided.
Short-term construction teams bring the manpower and technical skills
to raise these facilities quickly.
See Projects for details about past construction projects.
Prayer Teams
Siberia is a harsh place, both in weather and spiritually.
All ministry efforts must be covered in intercessory prayer, and some prayers are best made
when you can see the need firsthand.
If God has called you to be an intercessor, contact us about how you can
work with us in this critical ministry.
Team Manual
We have prepared a Team Manual with details
about planning for a short-term trip.
Although specifically written for construction teams,
much of the detail is applicable for other types of trips.
Please contact us for the latest details if you are considering
making a trip to work with us in Siberia.
